Want to wear leather shoes but hate the creases.

Leather shoes crease across the vamp the first week you wear them, and after that they never look new again. The crease is the part people notice, and it is the reason a good pair starts getting left in the cupboard.
This problem was posted at Phase 1, which means nothing has been decided yet — not the construction, not the closure, not whether a monk strap is the right answer at all. The working name is a placeholder for a direction, not a product.
What we are looking for right now: whether the crease is really the thing that bothers you, or whether it stands in for something else — fit, break-in time, how the shoe ages. Say it plainly in the discussion.
