Can’t do anything outside during summer

XX Shirt
Every June the same thing happens. The garden is unusable between eleven and four, the shirt sticks to your back within ten minutes, and the only options are staying inside or accepting you’ll be uncomfortable.
We started writing this problem down after the third summer of the same complaint. Not a product idea — a problem statement, posted before any solution exists, so the people who actually have it can say whether we’ve described it right.
What’s on the table so far: fabric weight, weave openness, cut, and whether a shirt is even the right object. Everything tested gets posted here, including the things that failed.

Linen solves the heat and creates a new problem: it looks wrecked after one hour on a train. Whatever this becomes, it has to survive sitting down.

I work outside three days a week in July. The issue isn’t the shirt getting wet, it’s that it stays wet. Drying time is the spec I’d test against.

Drying time is now a tracked spec. Two candidate weaves went out to testers this week; raw notes get posted here unedited, including the one that failed at the shoulder seam.
